Alpen Butter
Alpen Butter is the project of Efis and a classical transverse flutist, Andrea Burgueño. The duo was born in Berlin in December ’07. The project tries to overcome extreme or dualistic points of view by putting together digital and analogic elements, technology and traditional technics, human being and computer.
All kind of electronic beats are fusioned with classical, traditional, modern and contemporary music to create a sound which represents a positive side of a globalizing idea and a natural conception of modern, multicultural (actually multieverything) life. It is also the sound of the big city Berlin, where all come from different places, different cultures… and have different rhythms and languages.
Music and life are such a big cluster giving eternal feedback. Since December ’07 Alpen Butter have performed in Berlin and Italy, in clubs, experimental rooms, alternative house projects, bars, etc., working as well on other projects, sometimes also with various artist, like the exhibition “This world is not my home” (Kunsthaus Tacheles, September ’08, Berlin), where the duo composed, played, recorded and produced the soundtrack and made a sound installation.
The netlabel PublicSpacesLab released four of the songs included in "This World is not my Home":
