Let's Efis!

Efislive.com is the website of Efis, born with the intention to become a collaborative platform between Efis and other music and visual artists around the world.

Efis started messing around with computer music in 2008 when he moved to Berlin. His firsts music projects, such as Alpen Butter, were always associated with visual art and organic instruments, attempting to establish an audiovisual union between sound and visual art. He worked together with visual artists, creating soundtracks for any type of visual art such as paintings, illustrations and experimental video. January 2009, influenced by the Berlin music scene, began to produce electronic atmospheres, halfway between Efis bedroom and the dancefloor. In 2009 Efis first track "Der Nachtisch" was included on a compilation of the Netlabel Modularfield (DCC2MDF - Va Compilation). At the moment I am writing my first Ep.

Alpen Butter tries to overcome extreme or dualistic points of view by putting together digital and analog elements, technology and traditional techniques, human being and computer. All kind of electronic sounds are fused with classical, traditional, modern and contemporary music to create a sound which represents a positive side of a globalizing idea and a natural conception of modern, multicultural (actually multi-everything) life, including also the negative elements.
